I have seen carb spacers made from hardwood.
I thought I read something about removing the spacer. Usually on a Ford the throttle linkage won't clear the intake without the spacer.
Great ideas have always encounter violent opposition from mediocre minds.

i can vouche for how heavy one of those factory 4 barrel intakes are. and the nice thing like stated before is every thing from your intake should transfer over
I don't really care about brands Chevy Ford Dodge ...as long as it doesn't sound like two old dudes farting in a coffee can.

Actually a 2V manifold ways 92 lbs a 4 V a couple lbs less.

my original linkage is gone. i have been trying to find another one, but have came up short. I am currently using the piece of copper that is doing the trick. Do you know any companies that produce new? Thanks for the help.

are you looking for the trapeze linkage. i think several of us would have an extra laying around if you needed it.

I always throw those away and use straight rods to connect.
