I finished up the front end rebuild on my 67 the other day. New radius and pivot bushings, new king pins and king pin bushings and a total overhaul of the drum brakes, hoses and all. I dropped the entire suspension to do it. Not nearly as tough a job as I had anticipated. The worst of it was cleaning 41 years of gunk out of the back of the spindles and what not. For those that might be hesitant on doing this themselves, I found that following the instructions layed out in the disc brake conversion section on the main page made it fairly straight forward. I took a half coil off the springs with little to no change. the only thing left will be to take a little more off and get the front a hair lower. The truck drives like a dream now.
