Fits nice my a$$!! A 1200 pound engine does not belong in a 4000 pound vehicle. A 4BT is very tight, difficult fit in an EB. It will take serious cutting for a six to fit and the frame and axles are not made for it.
Those mounts are for a 4BT, not a six Mike. The 4's and 6's mount differently.

Personally I'd stick with the 6bt, but the 4bt would make a real nice driver with great mpg's!!!mljjones67 wrote:I might be changing back to the 4bt. I am unsure right now. I like the idea of the 6bt but the 4bt fits in much easier and is lighter.

Nothing to report. Been real lazy lately. I need to get the frame to the blaster and get the rust bullet applied.
I am headed for a job interview in Colorado at the end of this month so I need to get things as close together as I can. I would like the cab mounted to the frame at the very least. I doubt I will have time to get the 6bt mounted in the engine bay.

Mike, you might consider atleast a steel or wood deck on aluminum sides and rails for a dump body. Aluminum gets really tore up if you haul anything rough on it, especially if you used it to dump rock or scrap metal.
The all steel bed on my 71 with a good size rack only weighs about 450 pounds. In 4 months of using it everyday I've already worn most of the paint off the deck. If it was aluminum I'm sure it'd look pretty bad by now.

I never thought of that. The wood deck sounds cool. I mostly will be towing with the truck and putting it in shows. The wood bed would look real nice on there. The dump will be just for looks for the most part at shows, but still could be used. I need to go find a bed that I like and put somepics up.

Just a little update. Removed the cab off the 4x2. Pretty easy by myself.
