update
-borrowed boss's cherry picker
-got truck ready for engine pulling
-removed 429 out of donor
-removed tranny from donor
-bought engine stand for 429 and set tranny on ground
-stripped donor truck of good parts, ready for scrap
-installed a heater-only unit in the 71. lightweight
plus all the trips to the hardwares tores and all that good stuff.
getting ready
its amazing how fast glass on your nice lawn will completely kill it. left a completely dead spot in the nice lawn. hmmmm
(before the lawn modifications)
PRESTO
plans are to have the 429 flushed, tuned up and installed in the 71 with a freshly rebuilt c6 with some beefy parts and a partial manual valve body by Labor day (september 9 i believe). since there is a desert race then that we want to go to in our sweet ride
