Radiator Fan Shroud
Hi,
Has been a long while since i last posted. Have a 1969 F-250 Camper Special with a 360, auto, PS, PB (all drum).
Are the radiator fan shrouds reproduced and available for these trucks?

re: Radiator Fan Shroud
Thanks for the comments. Tried the Bronco site and oldest shroud listed is 1973. Dennis Carpenter catalog does not list a shroud outright for a 1969 F250 with a 360. Going electric is not necessary for this vehicle. Stock fan system seems fine, just need a shroud.
Anyone know which of the listed shrouds fit?
Another thought: If I want to pick a shroud up at a swap meet or at the wrecking yard, what shrouds fit/interchange for my truck?

re: Radiator Fan Shroud
I have pretty much the same truck. The fan shroud fit will be determined by the exact demensions of the radiator in your truck. I bought mine in excellent used condition off ebay. It wasn't an exact fit but, very close. A little non visible (not that I care) modification and it has worked just fine for several years.

On that Ebay listing that basketcase pointed to above, in the listing it says the numbers on the shroud are D2 TA 8146 PA. Am I correct in that the "8146" of the number is fords designation of the part type (fan shroud) and the other info is application type? so this ebay one wouldn't be right, correct? (just trying to learn something here..)
I have a 69 Highboy that is supposed to have the SuperCool radiator in it, I'm looking for a Shroud for it. Could you let me know what part number to look for the SuperCool fan shroud?
Thanks!
Shayne

re: Radiator Fan Shroud
There is no such number of D2TA-8146-PA, which is the ID number, not the part number.
Seller listed the wrong ID number.
D2TA-8146-PA is not listed in the 64/72 or 73/79 truck / 65/72 or 73/79 car parts catalogs (car parts catalogs = where Bronco parts are listed 1966/79), nor in any FoMoCo Master Cross Ref Catalog I have.
I called Green Sales, they couldn't find the ID number of D2TA-8146-PA either.
There's D2TA-8146-FA = 1971/72 F100 302 with A/C / There's also D2TA-8146-HA...see the SCR info typed below.
After viewing this ebay auction, I'll betcha it's FA, the 302 shroud.

Super Cooling Radiator for 1967 352 / 1968/72 360/390 / 1973/76 360/390 > > > C7TZ-8146-B < < <
Marked: C7TA-8146-H / D2TA-8146-HA / D3TA-8146-JA / Mounting holes measure: 21 3/8" high / 27 1/8" across.
The SCR has a HUGE top tank, much wider (do not confuse 'wider" with the length) than the other radiators used. I believe it's 5" wide give or take 1/2".
If you post a pic of yours, I can tell you if it's is a SCR or not.
If you do not have a SCR, D3TZ-8146-C is the correct fan shroud for your HB.
EDIT: I contacted the ebay seller and asked him to look closely at that ID number he came up with.

re: Radiator Fan Shroud
Gunz,
Thanks for the info and checking on this.
I know the PO replaced the one in mine about 5 years ago (I'm sure it has been replaced a couple of times before) and it looks like the top tank is not right... http://s197.photobucket.com/albums/aa29 ... diator.jpg The other bad part is there are no mounting holes for a fan shroud so I'm going to have to make something there or try to find a shroud that will work, or build one.
The mounting holes for the radiator are about 29 1/2" across and ~11 1/4 or so high.
Thanks for the info and checking on this.

Thank you all for the comments.
Gunz, thanks for the part numbers and getting me headed in the right direction. Is the D3TZ-C number what I look for on the shroud at a swap meet?
