The fuel tank is untouched since it is made of plastic I didnt want to mess with it although it would have been easier if I did though...... I think

I just had a custom aluminum sending unit made to fit. All went well and now its a factory like system that is easy to service like factory.
As for the crossmember I just put the center of the wheel bearing in the same place as the original wheel bearings. I then marked it up and drilled my holes. None of the original holes lined up so I had to drill everything but it was pretty easy. This swap could be done in a weekend by a competent hands on kind of guy with a good torch or plasma cutter and a decent drill and a small welder.
I know this is gonna sound weird but I havent gotten an alignment yet. I know I know but I just havent gotten around to it even though I have about a couple hundered miles on it already. The truck handles very flat around the turns, drives smoth as silk on the roads and stays almost perfectly straight on the highway at speeds up to 95mph ( highest speed tested so far

) it doese have a very slight pull to the left but its just barely there. That pull could also be due to the road not being perfectly level. I have driven factory new cars with more pull to it than this thing has even with no alignment. I guess it paid off measureing 20 times and cutting once.
