Mike, either will work, but the one you have the better choice for any installation.

The one he has is not a first gen. It's a 94-02 hub. The Factory ford fan shrouds are made to conmpensate for the engine being offset in the frame 1 3/4" and the fan being centered over the crankshaft. The mount you have centers the fan over the crank, that puts the fan where it's supposed to be.

Those fan mounts are on ebay continuously. I wouldn't think he'd have a hard time finding one.

I bought some for my '70 and they didn't fit. If anyone has had luck buying new 4x4 body bushings I'd love to hear about it. Seams most aftermarket has no clue what fits what when it comes to the old Fords.

I reused the factory rubber mounts, haven't found anything to replace them with.

Water temp and oil pressure sending units. Everything the FE has.

Wont there be enough room once the engine fan is removed?

I don't follow. You need to have a fan. The engine driven fan takes up a lot less room than electric fans that will equal it.

It's a very tight fit, but not impossible. Your core support will not be the same after fitting an intercooler/radiator.

If you're really strapped for room you can get rid of the fan clutch and run a solid mount fan. You can get an extra inch, but you'll lose atleast a MPG mileage.
