The ZF won't fit an FE.

The wabco vacuum pumps are kind of a pain to disassemble for welding. I've fixed ones like yours, but come to the conclusion it's easier to just buy another one when they're that bad. I have one on my '91 that has most of the same ear broken off, but the bolt still holds it. I have an air compressor/PS pump to replace it someday though.

You've got a 1345 t-case there Mike.

If you want to just go hydroboost (good choice) look for the saginaw 4BT style pump or just put a want ad on 4btswaps. They show up there a lot for fair prices.

The hydro boost is the way i had planned on going from the start. Is there a special adapter to adapt just the pump to the timing housing or will the saginaw work just right??

I would like to do the air compressor too. That would come in real handy!!

The cummins saginaw pump is different from the combo vacuum/PS wabco pump you have there. If you buy the pump it'll bolt right up.

What should I ask ($) for the AC compressor, and the alternator?

Run your stock alternator. It will bolt right into the dodge bracket with some minor cutting or you can buy a $40 Ford alternator bracket and waterneck from cummins that bolt it right on.

The dodge AC and alternator should get a few bucks on ebay. You have to keep the dodge alternator pulley though, so finding someone to buy the alternator minus the pulley might be hard.

I will hopefully get most of the $400 back when I scrap it. I hope it has tilt steering to. That would be nice in the bump.

They all had the NP205 unless they were fulltime 4x4. When in doubt clean off the ID plate on the rear of the t-case. It will say 205 or 203 on it. 203's were only under fulltime 4x4 trucks, not common at all.

It's either a HP44 or 60. Either way it's worth the price. The 60 has kingpins and trunnion bearings. D44 has balljoints. D44 has 1/2" diff cover bolt heads, D60 has 9/16"

Sweet I know they don't know what they have.
Hopefully I will get lucky and come home with a 60 and a 205. If its a 203 are they easy to sell?

I forgot to ask earlier. What years of oil pans will work on mine? I need to get one and get it on so it doesn't rust.

Dodge oil pans interchange from 89-02. Newer ones may fit, I don't know for sure though.

That's the right pump. It's a saginaw with an external reservoir. You can swap on any saginaw reservoir you want onto that pump.

Ok guys I am going to pick up the 79 f-250 4x4 parts truck today. And I have read through Keiths tutorial on using the 73-79 core support. It also mention I can use the inners as long as I have the inner mounts. Has anyone done this swap successfully? I also think they are galvanized right? I am picking this truck up for $400 and I will be using the dana 44 hp and the np205 t-case. I would like to use the inners and core support also. What else do you think I can use??
If anyone needs parts off this truck when I have all the ones I need let me know. I am sure the booster will be up for grabs.

Why not use the 79 frame and running gear and put your 67 cab on it. Alot easier for PS and you'll have 3in wide rear leafs and you can put your highboy front springs on it. wider rear frame rails for an in frame fuel tank, factory. Just my 2 cents.

That would more than likely work.
