That depends on what the GVW rating of your truck was. For '70 models there were four different ratings on the F100 models, and the springs could also come with standard shackles or the Flex-O-Matic setup.

I've got a '67 SWB truck with a 5000# GVW rating and it came with 5 leafs (including the thick bottom overload spring) and straight shackles. A '68 Ranger F100 I parted out had the same GVW rating and number of leafs, but it also had the Flex-O-Matic setup.

My '68 F100 parts truck has a 6-leaf setup plus the overhead overload spring AND Flex-O-Matic setup, and it ALSO has a GVW rating of 5000#, according to the VIN tag. Of course, this truck has other non-standard parts on it, since the previous owner was using it in truck/tractor pulls at the county fair, so it's likely the spring pack has been changed out at some time.

I'll have to research what the GVW is. Suspect it's on the dataplate. You can read my post on the steering column for my long story. I know it has a thick spring on it and a very odd shackle with L shaped bumper brackets. The prior owner said he's pretty sure his brother pulled a spring to lower it so I will need to replace the springs, I think. It sits pretty level so maybe just a new leaf. How are these trucks on hi mileage? Just go ahead a get new, I would guess. I replaced springs on both my Cougar and Bronco. Pretty straight forward.
I'll get back on this later with more info.....
Thanks,
