Will a 69 power brake booster fit a 66

Post by junkyardjeff »

I just bought a 66 F250 off of ebay that does not have power brakes,I have a booster from a 69 that I parted and I need to know if it will bolt on. I have not picked the truck up yet so I cant just check it but would like to know if it will fit or do I have to find one from a 66. Jeff

Well, I know the '68 and up boosters won't work on the '67 because the brake pedal and setup are different. To put one in you have to also use the '68 and up pedal and convert the stoplight switch. The '67's pedal is like the '66 and earlier. Another thing that may be the deal breaker is your single piston master cylinder. Will it bolt to the booster? Sorry I'm not much help.
