re: upside down i beam?
Looks like they are, had to go outside and look at my brothers 69. Lookin at it it seems you might be able to get like 2in maybe 3in of lift. Ive never torn any of those parts apart yet so I couldn't say if it could all be installed upsidedown without any machine work but I'd certainly be interested.

if it is that easy I would be real interested. The modified I beams are about $800 for a set just to get 2 - 3 inches. I will have to investigate this one .

just went out and looked at it all, did a little "eye ball" measuring. I think it could be done. I just might have to try it next week when I have a couple of days off.

LOL I was out there with a tape a few minutes ago also. I was thinkin it might work also, but it might throw off the alighnment just a hair and the brake hoses might need to be lenthened. other ? is if the bolt and nut that holds the spring down on the mounting spot for the radius arm can be flipped and poked through the other way.

Ok, Here is an idea my wife came up with, yes my wife, she likes to play too.
What about instead of just flipping them upside down, also change sides. That would fix the arm problem, right?

That's it, I have decided to give this a shot next Thursday. I have almost 3 full days off and that should give me more than enough time. If anyone has suggestions for me, let them fly.

I am not sure but I don't think so. It looks like the top of the I beam would be in the same place.

re: upside down i beam?
I saw them do that on a show of junkyard wars but the wheels were I guess you would call it...toed in real bad, that would have to be adjusted. It was like this \ /

re: upside down i beam?
ok ok, i understand why it would give you a lift now, my brain wasnt catching it before, a little slow lately, just went outside to check it out and it looks like it can give a lift, im excited to see what happens with Heavenlyfire and his i-beam project. pls post pics and tell us if any modifications are needed, also how much of a lift you get, I would greatly appreciate it!!!

re: upside down i beam?
I am going to start tomorow with all of the measuring and trying to figure out if it will work on paper first. So far, looks good, full steam ahead. Wish me luck
