re: f-250 king pin bearings
I would think most any auto parts...Is there some
difference in the kingpins on a 4wd vs 2wd?
I had thought they were the same...MK

I thought that 4WD's used ball joints up front instead of kingpins?
How else could the front axle pass through the steering knuckle.

Their decent size roller bearings on the top and one on the bottom of the steering knuckle. And I'd try Carquest or napa. Or contact a drivetrain shop that does axles and drivelines they usually have a few good hookups for hard to find parts. I actualy use these guys all the time. http://www.boyceequipment.com/ and these guys are in my town. http://www.drivetrain.com/

I'll be needing those ball joints for my 4x4 soon, I was planning on trying NAPA, they have been able to help with the other items I've needed so far.

re: f-250 king pin bearings
they are tapered roller bearings like a wheel bearings as far as i can tell.
Open knuckles use ball joints closed knuckles use a king pin on the top and bottom with roller bearings.
None of the part stores around here have anyone who can even open a hood it as far as i can tell.
