Watch ebay and expect to pay at least $100 for a decent one. Also the local wrecking yards, I stumbled across a good one last year for $20 and they pulled it.
Great ideas have always encounter violent opposition from mediocre minds.

Have you thought about removing the dash pad and going with just the bare metal? I removed my dash pad this afternoon and I think it looks great!. The paint underneath is very clean and very SHINY. It was also a very easy procedure. If your interested I'll go into more details. If not here is a site with dash pads for $95.

Hope this helps.

Okay here goes.

First remove the glove box. Not to hard, only held in by 6(?) screws.

Second, remove gauge cluster. You will need to reach under the dash and unscrew the speedometer cable. A mirror can help alot in trying to locate it in case you don't know where it is. After that, unsrew the 8(?) screws around the perimeter of the cluster. Once they're all removed, the cluster should slide right out. I just let it hang down by the steering wheel.

You should now be able to look into the dash and see the bolts holding the dash pad in place. There should be about 8 bolts along the middle/back of the dash pad and about 6 that are under the front lip of the dash. Remove all of the nuts. Then pull out the old dash! Since the bolts are imbedded in the pad, be careful not to scratch the paint as you pull it out. Before you throw the pad away, pull out the heater grills. They will drop right back onto the dash.

Hope this makes plenty of sense. It really is not that difficult and can be done in less than an hour. Some people I know fill the bolt holes with lead. I'm not exactly sure how this is done, so I can't go into detail. I just left my dash as it was. Maybe I'll do something about it later.

Hope this helps.

Check the bolt holes on the dash after you take off the nuts. You will notice they are slotted. this will allow you to slide the dash forward enough to tilt it toward you. This will let the from bolts come out of their holes. Easy as pie. Might have to pull your radio too. The pad I pulled had all three (glove box, radio, instrument panel) removed and mad access a breeze. Good luck.

Here's one on Ebay....with a couple mounting studs missing. Might be OK for a driver.
