How does the gas pedal spring go?? (Got it!)
I have a diagram from the Dennis Carpenter catalog but I still can't figure out how this spring gets attached and stays in place!!!
If you look at the picture below, I have it set up with what I think is the bottom of the pedal on the bottom. Can anyone help with how the spring goes?
Thanks in advance.

Yep. You got it. The small end will fit over the accelerator arm. The bend will sit right where the pin is in the pedal. I just checked my 68 and that's how mine is.
Hope that helped.

Hmm. I guess I'll need to try harder because it doesn't seem to want to stay in place. Just the pressure from the spring keeps it in place? No other clips or fasteners? This is all I've got right now.granitestate68 wrote:Yep. You got it. The small end will fit over the accelerator arm. The bend will sit right where the pin is in the pedal. Great photos. Thanks. I replaced mine a couple of years ago. I recall staring at that spring and pedal assembly and thinking, "WTF!" It's like some kind of springy Rubic's Cube.
