OK, here's a REALLY easy one. There are at least four of these on any bumpside, though all bumpsides have more, although slightly longer. What is this specific screw used for?:

i havent seen one of these yet that ive recognised, im guessing its something from a transmission, or is it for the headliner? :hmm:

oh man i am going to have to go out and strip down another truck to find that screw because i can't remember. yea real easy huh.

Yeah, that's what I was going to guess too, some type of lens screw.

However, I've stripped down enough trucks to say that by now, it's about a 50/50 shot of the original screws still being with the truck. A lot of the time these are just replaced with standard sheetmetal screws.

i have pulled long and short ones from various slicks. do you know the specific applications for the long and short versions?

all of them i have pulled have been long ones. i havent seen short ones before.

IIRC the front signal lens screws on the '67-'69 are slightly longer, while the '70-'72 versions have two different lengths.
