I think I might have found a new toy! A friend of mine went to his sister inlaws place this week and noticed a 1972 F100 sitting out back. Knowing I was looking for a new project, he looked it over (no rust or bad dents) and asked about it. (390, automatic, factory air) Seems they had a timing chain issue and parked it. He asked what they would sell it for and they said they didn't know, did $100 sound too high. We'll probably run over next week and look at it.(buy it!) Now if I can only wipe this silly grin off my face.
It's not a done deal yet, but I'm pretty optimistic. Sometimes you step in sh*t and come out smelling like a rose! My fingers have been crossed allday!

Well I'm still trying to connect with the owner on this. It's going to happen, just all the dealings are through a third party. I just found out this morning that every things the same, price and all. Now the boss, I mean my wife says to wait till after X-mas. I don't know why, I haven't bought a single gift yet, where did the money go? Oh well, I can wait, Santa can't.
Just a little update. I plan on going getting the 72 my next day off work. I wanted to use my 71 f250 4x4 to pull it back, thought that would look pretty cool, but my buddy went out and bought a new reciever hitch for his truck so we'll take his.( at least it's a Ford) The new hitch cost more than the 72, so I can't turn him down. I plan on taking my camera, so should have plenty of pics. Come on day off!
Just my luck! When I finally get ready to go get the truck The first real blizzard of the year blows in. 3 or 4 inches of snow, high winds, and REALLY icy roads. Next week is supposed to be warmer though. I'll just have to wait and see. I'll pace the floor until then.
