Did you measure the diameter of the wrap on the eye of your new springs to make sure there is clearance from the spring to the mounting bolts? The set of leafs I had with the military wrap were quite large.not sure what some of your extra holes are for so i'm not sure if i'm looking at the right hole that your going to mount the spring on. Now you got me wanting to cut some new brackets amd crossmember for my 77 to drop the front springs out for a little lift without buying springs yet.
The bottom hole is for the spring. The big 2" is for a pipe to go across and be welded in. I took measurements off the ORU one I have from the 85' just added some mods like using 1/4" steel plates. Can a water jet cut 1/4" steel? Still working on the final layout of it though...
The springs need to mount in the exact same place as the 85' so need that front mount exact... heres the 85' and of course that frame is wider so I though midas well just do a whole new front mounting. Also the rear will be interesting since that has to be exact also working on that will post detail when I get it closer to what it will look like...
A water jet won't have any trouble cutting 1/4" steel. I don't know how it compares cost wise to CNC machining it (and water jets are CNC machines too, I mean cutting the steel) but the first thing I thought of when I saw your drawing was, that's a CNC mill part.
