So I did manage to get some work done this weekend even though I worked fri and sat night. Sunday was busy...
Here's how I started, I had to lop off the rear section of the frame because I figured it would be easier to mount the bed to the frame if the mounts were in the original location...

So I welded the rear section where it was supposed to go and made the hole in the bed. I could have left the original cross braces but I'm going to mount the fuel tank behind the axle. I'm going to make the new floor symetrical to match the contours of the wheelwells.

The black plastic bag you see is the fuel pump, I wrapped it up until I can get it back in the tank.
