Hey everyone,
Changing my rear drums and I had a question regarding brake fluid. My wheel cylinder is leaking so I figured I'd just put new ebrake cables in and clean everything up. I have power brakes with a dual master cylinder and I know the brakes were changed sometime in the past 5-6 years because the front has been upgraded to discs, but I am not sure what brake fluid was used.
Any recommendations on what brake fluid I should use DOT3 or some said 5 is better, but I'm not entirely sure on the cons of using 5. I know mixing is bad so I assume I have to drain everything anyway.
Brake fluid?

Re: Brake fluid?
Dot 3. Or dot 4. Is fine they will mix. Dot 4 is a little better dot 5 is not compatable unless you are starting with all new components. Look on YouTube at autorestomod channel he just did a vid talking about this.
