Mercury switch on firewall?

Post by Zrt1 »

So I’ve been working on a 1970 F250 and just noticed there is a mercury tilt switch bolted to the firewall? Searched and searched and I cannot find any info as to what it’s for. It has a few wires to it but have long ago been cut. Any ideas? Thanks

Possibly an old security system.
