Tires for F250

Looking at buying new tires for my truck and have a 8" wide by 16" mag wheel for them to go on.
My truck came with 225/R75/16 but have seen other sizes on different trucks, what size of tires are you using on your 250?

The dually has 235/85r16s on it and i love them on 7 wheels though so your other very common tire would be the 245/75r16. Those two sizes would fill it out nice i would say and are very common with lots of options.

Anytime i would say 235/85 r16 with no questions except you have the 8 inch wide wheels you want to run. 235's little narrow for a 8 so i would say hunt on the 245's 30 inches tall should work on the 250 just dandy. Right now the cooper discovery at3 is getting good reviews..

No you can go wider. Actually looking at the uniroyal laredo hd/t they say as follows you check summit

235 maximum rim width 7"
245 maximum rim width 8"
265 maximum rim width 8"

So you can go out on a 265 no problem and then really shouldn't be under a 245 by the tire recommendations. As you select a tire check the data chart. But all those tires are 30 to 31.80 depending on tire manufacturer so height is all close and should fit just the width. Another old school tire that my brother turned me on too. They definately look old school 250....

There is more to this tire thing than I ever thought. I will take some measurements on the truck once the fenders are on to make sure I won;t have any turning clearance issues. Thanks Manny!

Tires are like engine oil. Seems simple on the surface. Round rubber rolls. Like oil gold in color liquid lubricates. But then you get into high temp high sheer levels thermatic viscosities at 100c etc etc. Tires get into compounds silica content wear numbers for varying road conditions. yeah its rough...

That's my language too! I was wanting white lettering but I think that is gone now just to costly up here in the north..

White lettering would look sharp on your truck. White walls would look good too-very classy

I would say you would enjoy the BFG all terrains on it. As for the help you out part that requires me to not be broke first

I'm leaning towards the 265/75/R16 tires, just like the width on the 8" wide rims. Now just to find a good deal on them with installation and balancing without breaking the bank.
