stock wide wheel???

Hello
Had a question on stock wheels. I was stolling around a buddies hoard of old wheels looking for a set of stock ford steel wheels for my 72 f100 swb and came across a pair of "stock" 15"/8.5" wide wheels. They are 5x5.5 bolt pattern. They have great patina so i didn't figure them for aftermarket. My question is what vehicle did ford put these on, if anything? I've looked all over the net and can't find any info. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They'll fit on your f100. Not sure if they were stock on those. F250 had 16 inch rims. I thought my old f100 had smaller rims but not positive.

Mind had 15X6's on it and it was all stock - the 15X8.5's will fit - I just put a set of Wheel Vintiques 62 series stock style steel 15X8 rims on mine with 31-10.5 tires and they fit perfect......

Looks good tinker! Now it looks like a pickup. I have pretty much the same tire/wheel combo as you started with but I'm planning for a switch.

If it wasn't bad enough the stock rims were that narrow - someone put 205/65-15's on it - WAY smaller than stock

What's really good is you said the same thing I said right after I put them on....."now it like like a pickup".....
