Tribute forum possible?

Post by 390Nut »

In light of the passing of 'ScreaminZ' Gene Wheelbarger, and others that have passed before, I thought it would be cool if we could have a seperate forum dedicated to the tribute of those individuals, for members to post up thoughts, relate stories, contact and memorial info, etc, and just keep the memory of those who have passed alive. I know on some of the other boards I frequent this is a common practice, just thought it would be a cool idea here as well.

Yes, no?

Agreed Paul. But also why not go one step further and start a "benefit" thread to generate some badly needed funds for the survivors of our members family(s) who are left in such a bad way?
Just like the $1.00 in an envelope thread...
If every (or even half of us here on the site) threw one dollar into an envelope...
Hardest part I could see would be for someone to take the horns of this bull to establish contact with the family to make sure it's ok?

Working on that idea as well. In the meantime, I've spoken with Jennifer Wheelbarger, and she told me that a memorial fund has been established at Chase bank for Gene's kids, to go towards their education. Donations can be made at any Chase bank branch, or online via Paypal to genewheelbargermemorialfund AT gmail DOT com.

As for the idea I am working on, I'm going to raffle the harness that Gene prepaid for, which will now go unused :(

Hard to forget about him. Kind of hard to find all the posts in regards to his passing, too. I know there were a few of them.
