Two months gone and PM Boradcaster?

Post by snooziums »

Well, I have been busy .... enjoying my summer vacation before college classes start up on the 26th.

However, when I went to check on my account at FTE, there were two things. First off, it was "suspended" for not posting anything for two months. Will this happen to me here?

Second of all, I received this pm from the new "boradcaster" there (as well as several like it):
FTE would like to ask all our users to help us out by taking a few seconds to vote for us on the Business Week Online annual "Best of the Web: People's Choice"!

Please fill in the write-in category as best Automotive resource:

http://www.businessweek.com/technology/ ... e_site.htm

This will help build more recognition for FTE and we'd really appreciate it if you participate!
Because of these messages, my IM box was full! *sigh*

Well, I did go to that site, and entered http://www.fordification.com instead, since I like this place so much better. I hope no one is upset with me.

That's too funny! I haven't gone to that site in a long, long time. I probably got the same deal.

snooziums...I have never heard of Keith shutting anyone down for not posting for awhile. No worries here. This place is the best for many reasons...so don't worry about here. FTE does not even compare.

I tried to get on the Businessweek site to vote for Fordification, but got a file not found error. I will keep trying, though.
No, Keith won't shut you down for not posting for a couple months.

No one will shun you here. In fact, there was thread awhile back about sending a PM to members who havent been on awhile just to check on them. Now thats cool. Not sure if it was done yet but was definatley discussed.

That place is really going down hill in my opinion. I still look at it once in a while when I'm really bored. Now when I go there I get these little messages at the top saying that I have'nt posted there in ..... weeks and that it's a community and everybody needs to do their part...B.S.
I'll post when and where I want. Mostly here.
The people over there have gotten so mean I don't care to be there.
They will type in 2 paragraphs to tell a newbe to search for how to install disc brakes and they could have told them how to do it with fewer words. lol
Also alot of know-it-alls over there stating alot of misleading information.
I don't claim to know much about these trucks but I have had one for close to 25 years. I had a guy flame me after I politely corrected him when he told a guy the 302 and 351W were the same engine blocks. lol
Oh well. I'll just stay here I think'
