My Carter yf has been leaking from the throttle shaft since I bought it . It causes a vacuum leak and makes the truck run bad. I've been wanting to upgrade to a alum intake and 4v but don't have the money right now. I found a yf on eBay that's been rebuilt for 80 bucks so i bought it in hopes of it making it run better until I can build my funds up for the 4v upgrade

I installed a oil gauge with a copper line kit today. Its runs at idle 40 lbs and at 2 grand it has 50 lbs. Not too bad for a 40 year old motor? :D

I was at my local bone yard today scoping out parts for my 3g alt upgrade and came across a 90 f150 that had factory speakers mounted behind the seat in the corners. They look like 5x7... Anyway the speaker panels are the same color as my truck and I think they would look pretty good. Problem is the lip on the gas tank is in the way. Can I bend that lip back out of the way without causing tank to leak? :?

check out these rotors on a 1970 f100 man i was licking my chops!

They have plenty of the dent sides with disc though  I am going back out tomorrow i will try to get some pics of those speaker panels, o i just had a idea. Shoot i could pull them and find a bump without a seat and see how they fit up  ..

Instead of altering the tank couldn't you modify the panels?

I bought the 5x7 speaker panels today out of a 88 f150 and I believe they will tuck right in beside the gas tank :D
