Engine to the shop (thanks RobRoy for cradle pics!)

Post by 1972F100 »

Engine is finally at the machine shop. Awaiting initial findings on fluxing, and tolerances. Crank had already been turned .010, while the cylinders were .040 over. Meanwhile, I've begun front clip disassembly.

Well, good luck and have fun with the rebuild. Is it going to FE Specialties also?

No, it's not. A local shop in Euless, Texas. I heard back from him yesterday and should have the block back next week.

Good luck. you should probably put this in the "Project Updates" section and continue on with your build from there.

Justin - great idea, I'll do that. I've got an engine rebuild and tranny rebuild/swap out going on right now...

I would love to hear what your plans are for it. What kind of engine is that? It looks like a 32 valve engine from the head sitting there. Or is that both of the heads sitting next to each other?

*EDIT* Never mind, I can see its a pair of heads back to back.
