Good job buddy! And thanks for sharing the photos....now if we could just get more people to do the same, we'd be sittin' pretty! ;)

About the only thing I'd consider is that since you're not welding the entire lip of those pans, there's going to be a lot of areas for moisture to enter. I'd at least tap down the edges all the way around to make the joints as smooth as possible and then seal them with some brushable seam sealer.

Yea, some seam sealer is on the list. When I get the cab tipped back next spring I plan to really work on some of the seams left on the underside of the pans, between the old metal and new pans. For now I'm just going to spray up in there really good with Bondo's One Step rust converter. That stuff turns turns rust into black metal. Then prime and paint up in there as best I can for now.
BTW, a 10 TPI (tooth per inch) blade in a reciprocating saw goes through the old sheet metal like a hot knife through warm butter! It took about 5 minutes per side to cut the old pans out.
All in all I'm happy with how they came out. :)
