New from MO-Updated with pictures

Post by mo-bronco »

Hi, just registered. I have a '72 that belonged to my grandpa when I was a kid. I spent a lot of time running around with him, but he died when I was 11 (now 39). When I turned 16 my grandma gave it to me and I drove it through high school etc. I gave it back to her when I got an old bronco (I've had 9 and currently have 3). Years later after I was out of the service and starting my own family, I talked her into letting me have it again. It hadn't run in 2 years at the time, but I towed it home with a bronco and had it running within a day. I drove it until it became unsafe and parked it at my in-laws farm where it currently sits. I plan on towing it to my house this summer and getting started on a rebuild. I really miss having it and envision a resto-mod. Newer motor modern underpinnings etc, but look fairly stock, except I plan on evening out the stance. One question I have right now, is will the front grill out of a '70 fit in the '72? I like the look of the '70 better. Thanks for a great site.
Brian

I knew someone would call me out on the pics! All the ones I have are old, but I'll try to scan them and post. I'll also take some out at the farm in it's current position. I'm about an hour south of St. Louis in Farmington.

Brian,

Welcome! You're in the right place man! Good story with your truck. Good history there.

Good luck with it, and post some pics when you can.

Fourtss, I practically grew up down at Rocky Ridge. My grandparents had a house down there. Spent many a summer day fishing, swimming etc.
