i'm not sure you can buy the old lights any more. to keep using your halogens just buy a new switch. the new switch can handle it. i have halogens in my truck i have had for years.

Any idea what a new switch might cost? Any brand better than another? Pep Boys OK?

yes on top of the switch. you have to reach under the dash and on top of the switch to push it down.

No on the upgraded switch and going back to regular lights after seeing Halogens is like going back to living in caves and rubbing two sticks together to have dinner after living in this age.

I,ve seen corrosion before on the high beam side of plugs before that did the same thing caused it to draw too much voltage and pop the C/B on switch when running High beams.

Weather you buy a premade harness or build yer own followin' directions posted in this section in some other threads, it's a worthwhile thing to do to see buck even in the next county.

I'll warn ya though, usin' relays to send full power to devices gets addicting.

Mirrors look great... got them today. Brand 40-years new! I haven't gotten to the hardware store yet, but hope to tomorrow. These look so nice, I may just have to stock them away until I'm ready for finishing touches. Depends on how well the old mounting spindles clean up.
