Best thing I've done so far (and I haven't done much yet), which may still be the best I've ever done when completed, was to turn my 390 into a 428. I added low riser heads, Autolite 4bl carb and associated 4bl intake manifold.

Absolutely upgrading to power brakes. I used to stand on the pedal at a light.

Afterwards I upgraded to discs but that wasn't as big of an improvement as going from manual to power brakes.

Im waiting for the ice to let up and a day off from work, then I plan
on installing not just power steering but "freaking" power steering. After
that I plan on power brakes. I have the parts minus the booster.

And then, judging from the posts here I'll prolly move away from the points ignition.

Oh yeah, soon, I plan on switching back to manual choke. The thermatic
version is putting a hitch in my crawl.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~
