NO SPARK!

Post by montana_hiboy »

I can't figure out why i'm getting no spark, it's a '75 electronic ignition, motor turns over but won't fire, i'm getting fuel, i have compression, timing is set (or reasonably close) truck has new battery, starter relay, starter, alternator, voltage regulator, ignition control module, coil, distibuter, ignition switch, cap, rotor, plugs and wires, and still NO SPARK!
I've exhausted all my (very limited) electrical knowledge and don't know where else to look, with all new electrical componets installed i'm thinking my problem lies somewhere in the wiring itself? i just don't know, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, i hate to take it into the shop at $65 an hour labor rates if it's something i can fix myself, Thanks.

Did you have this truck running on old parts? I wonder if all the new stuff isn't the source of the problem.

make sure there's 12V on the red wire on your igniton module.

it should read ~12v while the key is in start and run
