backup lights

Post by fordman »

i have removed the wiring from my 67 because it was messed up bad. and i put the wiring out of a 69 in it. the 69 had a three on the tree and the backup switch was on the column. the 67 is a automatic. so the backup lights work off of what the turn signal wiring or the neutral safety switch?

i'm thinking the turn signal wires coming out of the column. and the colum isn't the original one so the wire colors don't match up and the plug was cut off of the column wires.

The back up lights work off the tranny reverse switch.

IIRC, the three-on-the-tree have the backup switch on the column in the engine compartment. The autos have it on the column too but farther up before going thru the firewall.

"Are you gonna make it all 220?"
"Yeah 220, 221, whatever it takes."
