You'll need to use the donor truck's 390 engine perches, since the small-block stands will make the engine sit several inches too low. You'll also need to use your donor truck's larger radiator and front springs.

Rick-

I will *likely* (if a deal I am working on goes as planned, and it lookes like it will) be in need of a 302/C4 setup in the immediate future...if you don't mind me asking, what do you plan to do with yours when you get the 390/C6? If you don't have plans for it, maybe we can work out a deal.

Matt,

I have no use for the engine and transmission, I am sure we can work something out that you will be very happy with. Thanks, Rick

Howdy Rick!

Hmmm I didn't think about the fact that you are in North Carolina and I am in Texas! I wonder what shipping would cost. Anyway, I don't yet have the truck I need it for (though I hope to very soon!) so we don't have to make any solid arrangements just yet. If you would, keep it in mind though. The truck I hope to buy has a 360, and while they are fine motors, I am pretty set on a 302.

I'll talk to you about it more soon.

Thanks

Matt

Matt, . The 302 has 109K original miles I rebuilt the engine at 105K, the C4 is fine and I have a spare C4 that you can have also, I will also throw in the drive shaft, frame towers and motor mounts. The engine will have all of the pulleys and brackets ready to bolt in. The price will be worth taking a week-end and driving up to pick up the parts. Regards, Rick

I'll know by the 15th if this truck deal is going to happen, I'll talk to you about it once I know if I'm going to get the truck or not. I may be able to arrange shipping, I know a guy in that business, not sure if he gets over to NC.
