The owner's niece is a good friend of mine. I asked her about what time to show up, this is what she said:
"On a Saturday that is not predicted to have any rain, cars start showing up between 4:30 and 5. The show ends when it gets dark. If you want your car on display then you need to get there relatively early or else they will run out of spots. If rain is predicted at all then not many of the cars will show up."

Did we come up with a time? I'm leaving work in a few minutes and I'm going to drive past and see how full it is at 4:30.

What did you see there John?
I'm thinking that I'll leave my place at about 2 and be out that way about 3:30. I have to collect some parts from cooltoolguy while I'm there. Maybe we try to get to the place at about 4:30. If we all show up together, we should be able to park together. The guy i know from work says that we might have to park on the grass. I told him that we have trucks and grass is OK for us. We should meet some place (71 Long Bed's place ?) and then travel to chatterbox together.

Who is coming? We should have cellphone numbers. I have cooltoolguy, 71 LONG BED, and MaxKlinger's #s already. Who else is in?

As I was leaving work the skys opened up! I drove by and there were still a few cars and trucks there. It had stopped pouring by that time. (Weird weather today, it poured 3 times and was sunny the rest of the day. :hmm: ) I know from being there in the past that, if the weather is good, there will be over 300 vehicles! The grass is perfect for us, I agree. If we want to acctually enter the show we will be all the way in the back. If we park on the grass to the side, we will be right out front. Either way is fine by me. If we park out back there may be some shade. Oh, and 4:30 sounds fine by me.
I can't wait!! I can't believe the time is here already...

My truck definitely isn't show worthy. I just want to hang out and have a good time. Some of the guys who show up there have some really nice stuff, some hot rods and some fully restored.

I say we shoot to show up at 4:30 and park on the grass. Give the best parking spots in the lot to the guys with the nice passenger cars.

As far as I can tell, we have
71 LongBed
cooltoolguy
MaxKlinger
Flatbedford

Is there anybody I left out? At least I have cell numbers for everybody on that list.

Just side note. My truck is currently not running. I've got some kind of electrical issue. It will not start. Turn the key, and it is dead. I can start it with jumper cables or by rolling it. I get more than 12 volts off the battery whether it is running or not. I'm gonna try a new solenoid on Monday and work from there. I guess I can travel with the cables if I have to....

That's a drag. I was hoping to see him. I am supposed to lick up a radiator support from him and I want to check out the '67 cab he has for a guy near me. I'll have to get in touch with him and make arrangements. Maybe we could go see him at work. HAHA!

Truck is running OK now. Cleaned up the battery terminals.

I PMed all the guys who said they were interested in the first couple pages of this thread and posted a link in "General Discussion". Maybe we can get a few more on board.
I'm gonna have to spend some time cleaning the old truck up. It has been working for the last few months. I brought about 5 cords of firewood, 2 yards of topsoil, 1 yard of mulch, and bunch of lumber home with it this spring. I picked up a yard of red gravel for my neighbor over the weekend and the bed is still red!
