Got off work early, 100 degrees and a headache. Better build a bumper.
Not done, still have some supports to put on, and will probably put a plate with dimples in between the tubes. was going to put a LED light bar there but am starting to decide against it.

Your new fabricated front bumper looks awesome! As for the rear of your truck, maybe do something that will compliment the front bumper somehow and incorperate a hitch receiver and some D rings? Keep us posted!

Thanks fellas... waiting on photobucket to reset bandwith for the month so i can post an update with more pictures of the progress. The dove-tail is done, came out great. Also cut the side straps down on the flatbed, and cut the wood sides down to fit the new shorter length. Also cleaned up and painted most of it.

popeye- I do plan on doing a crossmember in the rear that is similar to the front! The truck needs to have a hitch but I refuse to put that HUGE hitch back on, so i will have to fabricate something!

Flatbed still needs wood, 2 more hold down straps, cargo strap D rings, hi-lift mount, shovel mount, jerry can mount, LED work lights, fuel tank and toolbox in front of the wheels, rear LED brake light ovals, and that might just do it.

Yes I am. It's a 1970 mustang gas tank. It's either 20 gallons or 22 i forget. Bought it new off of this site a year or so ago for $120 I believe. Then of course after hours of fabrication I had it bolted in place.

I pulled it and did the whole seal process inside it so the diesel wouldn't break down the galvanized soon after.

KOOL. I'm planning the same thing for my '71 F250 crew. That's why I asked. Now you say hours of fabrication. What's really involved with this mod on the F250/350, vs the F100 that I've seen everyone doing??? :? Might I also say, VERY NICE WORK!!! You do some very nice fab work. I am quite jealous...

Thanks, Allen.

It should be about the same as the f100's.
It was quite a while ago and i'm already forgetting but you have to cut a sliver out of the bottom piece of the frame rails so the tank will fit up in there. Then you need to fabricate some type of front crossmember for it so it can bolt in to something. Same with the rear.
Somewhere in this thread is pictures of how i did it haha
