Automatic Steering Column Shift Indicator

Post by Blue_Streak »

Anyone have a OEM 1967 Automatic Column Shift Steering Column in their truck?
I'm looking to see what the shift indicator is. Is it just the acrylic with the pointer or is it the acrylic with the aluminum housing and the pointer? Would love to see pics if you have 'em.
Thanks

Don't know about a '67 but my '71 column just has the acrylic. Towards the bottom of page 2. http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... 4&start=15

I have a 67 column in my 70. No shroud around the acrylic.

Excellent. Thank you gentlemen. I appreciate your input. Looks like I'm going with just the acrylic then. I decided to go with an Automatic Ididit tilt column with column shift and wanted to maintain as much of the original integrity as I could. They offer different selectors as accessories. Looks like the acrylic is held on with 2 sided tape. Its also about 50 bucks cheaper than the one with the housing so a win all the way around. :D
