King Pin Reaming Clearance
I am planning on taking my spindles to a machine shop to have the king pin bushings reamed. What should the clearance be between the bushing and the kingpin? I have read everything from .0005" to .003" to "ream until you can just push the pin through by hand.

Re: King Pin Reaming Clearance
I've installed and reamed kingpin bushings for decades and have never measured them for clearance. You just slowly creep up on it til the pin just slides in smoothly. Not rocket surgery.
