I have used this service with positive results, but you need a factory P/N. They don't sell parts but are a referral service.

Re: ordering parts based on numbers listed on
A lot of part numbers are listed here. http://www.fordification.com/partnos/partnos-index.htm For those that are not, I've had a lot of success searching sites like CG Ford Parts https://www.google.com/search?q=cgfordp ... 8&oe=utf-8 and Dennis Carpenter http://dennis-carpenter.com/ to find part numbers and then using those and variations of those to find what I was looking for. Sometimes is takes a little detective work.
In your particular case, the 3B289 is the base part number. The prefix would be determined by the year model of your truck. For example C7TZ for a 1967 and up part. If the part changes during the model history, it's usually increased accordingly. For example, if the part changed in 1970 and is not interchangeable with the 1967 variation, the prefix would change to D0TZ. Hence, a part number for the 1967 would be C7TZ-3B289 and the part for the 1970 would be D0TZ-3B289. There is frequently a letter at the end of the part number for engineering revision like -A.
A more in depth explanation of how to read part numbers is here http://www.fordification.com/tech/technical-index.htm under General with the heading "How to Decipher FoMoCo Part Numbers tutorial series".
A more extensive list is here http://www.fordification.com/mpc/index.htm although it's a little harder to maneuver around.
I usually Google search for something like 1969 F100 kingpin 3B289 and then crawl into the rabbit hole and start digging till I find something that leads me to believe it's the right one. However, you would be surprised at the amount of parts that can still be found at your local parts store just by asking them to check. A Google search for kinpin 3B289 yields the following results. And one those results is the list from the Master Parts Catalog above.
