Ok, need to change the leaf spring bushings that connect to shackles, first question is the poly better/easier to put in. I saw a video where a guy just pushed the two poly ends one on each side right in and then slipped the inner bushing seal right on in there, no press or anything needed, he did jam a wedge/chisel into the side of spring to open the whole a bit. Is this really that easy to put back in and do you have to get the outer bushing seal out before the poly bushings go in?
Secondly as far as getting the rubber and inner metal bushing out along with the outer metal bushing I have seen so many ways, renting bearing press then chiseling down the outer metal bushing until you get it out. I have seen some sawzall the outer bushing out, seen some hammer them out with a big punch, which I don't have. What is the most efficient way to get the old out if you don't have a press? All ideas and ways you've tried please.
Really interested on the poly replacements though if they are that easy or not.

Mine went pretty easy http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... 5&start=15 I tried the threaded rod with washers thing but it didn't work well for me. Ended up air chiseling out the sleeves and they came out pretty easy.

Re: Leaf Spring Bushings
if you have a torch or access to (it's a little messy) one, they will come right out..for the most part and after their out and cleaned up. this method worked for me
I've had enough and I'm not alone
