Steering Bearing/bushing
My 1967 F100 2wd has no bearings on the lower end. There was just this plastic bushing. Does this mean I have a column from a 73-79?

Re: Steering Bearing/bushing
That doesn't look like an original '67 column. Our trucks never had the emergency flasher on the steering column. Didn't start that until the '73-'79 model years. Looks like it's been swapped to a newer model year column. Here's a thread on rebuilding a bump side automatic column. http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... hp?t=72274 that'll show what yours should look like. You're definitely missing some stuff.

Thanks Sarge, Do you know how to identify what I actually have so I can rebuild that? Otherwise it is much more work to reinvent the wheel no pun intended...

Re: Steering Bearing/bushing
Turns out it's probably a 78 unit. Tom at Flashback F100s.com was a big help. He directed me to this lower bushing to bearing conversion kit on ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/262915374588 .
