1970 lowering options

I'm restoring 1970 XLT, Frame off,etc. what is the best way to lower the truck a few inches? Djm suspension, spindles or what. Thanks lt

No lowering spindles available for these trucks.

Easiest is DJM beams and their shackle system. The latter is not compatible with the "FlexoMatic" spring system.

I opted for DJM beams and an axle flip... darn near level now on my 70.

Alternatively, do a spring hanger flip but you'll have to deal with correcting the pinion angle.

I'm having questions with the rear spring, it has a frame type deal on the end for more spring, I have the djm system and do I leave the attachments on the leaf spring? Any pics would be,great.

Doesn't look like you've gotten answers probably because it's hard to understand what your saying.

Sounds to me like you have the Flex-O-Matic rear springs, seen here- http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m41/ ... 0_1812.jpg
therefore the DJM kit is not compatible as stated previously.
I've got the same, and this pic is with DJM drop beams and axle flip in the rear. You will need to do a C-notch for this to be right.
