Doing the front just cost money. Doing the rear takes work.

I'm thinking just a spring kit. I only need 2" drop max. I found some on ebay.

I used the dream beams on mine for 3" on the front. I C notched the back for 6". I can still crawl under it and work on it. Shortening the springs on the front will cause you tire and wheel travel issues. The donor truck I purchased used springs and it ain't pretty. :nono: You would be better off leaving it stock height than cutting the springs.

i wont be cutting them ill be buying lowered springs, made that way.

Spring height is spring height. Cut or shorter the net result has the same effect on the geometry. Your suspension will loose wheel travel and the wheels will look as though you just made the jump over the bridge that was out in a Dukes of Hazard episode. Folks here will tell you to bend the beams back to level and it can be done, some say it is questionable. If you just buy the beams nothing is to question, the stock springs, stock shocks are used and the wheel travel is good. After driving mine I swear I wouldn't notice the ride difference with my new beams had I been blind folded. With the cost of tires these days, the beams are worth it. With the cost of gas, closer to the ground helps the mileage.

Had it not been for a previous owner improperly installing a radius arm bolt, I would have had the beams installed, new king pins, drum brakes to disc brakes, new shocks, and on the ground in about 5 hours. 8)

That is the ride height. I don't have bags just dropped beams and 1 coil removed in front and an axel flip in the rear. It's my daily driver

question for those that did lowering shackles on the rear - do they require new rear hangers as well or will the stock hangers work?

DJM Suspension offered the shackles and hangers together, so that is how I got the 4" in the rear.
However, I have seen some companies offer the shackles and the hangers separate, although I don't see why?
Good Luck!

Yeah that's where the confusion comes in. I see them sold together and separately.

Here's a bit of history on my lowering situation:

I saw this one at the DangerZone show here in visalia. If you own this truck, hit me up. Would love to talk about your lower control arms.
