i didnt snap a pic of the last setup since it was a last minute change..on the video you can see the 1st and 2nd setup of brackets..the 3rd setup i used a cup design. you can find that usually on c-10 chevy trucks..its pretty much a 5" pipe welded on to a circular bag bracket. the only thing i did different was off set to keep the bag from rubbing on the inner cross member..on the bottom i just welded a bag plate (it only has one hole)

jgf100- yes the cross member is like 1/2"-1" from floor what hits is the rack pinion when all aired out

yeah I seen it on the video, after I posted that. sorry
do you think you can get enough lift to clear those 22's if it was bodydropped?

well the lower you go the less clearance you get. my opinion i would of gone 22-20s as far as cv setup..if your bolting it on and going static drop..i would do it..if your baging it with cv setup..it puts you at a tight spot because you turning reduces alot because there are so wide..
in the last setup i did i used the cups because i didn't want the bag to bottom out when it was aired out. that way joe can ride it as low as possible without having the ***** ride of riding on bag aird out(which is not recommended)
here is a quick model of what i mean
Image

the rear with a 2 link setup will easily clear but on this case i had to relocated the rear setup making move the last shock location to new location loosing some travel. but all joe has to do if he wants more lift in the back is swap shocks

Yeah that is what I thought you meant. I guess the bag had to be offset? are you running a 7" bag?
sorry for all the questions but it helps to ask someone that has done it before.
no thanks on the 2-link though, have done a couple of them and they didn't work out well. I will be doing a tri-4link.

i believe there the 7" bags.there big...

as far as rear setup. yup i agree 100 percent.. the thing is that i did this setup for my truck a couple of years ago. so when joe came to me i had it on the side since i changed setups..he liked it and all i did was modify it a bit more and finish it more.

the last couple of setup i did where tri 4 link and i like them..plus they will handle power too..the only issue clearing the bed for the upper bars..

dont worry about the questions...im more than happy to answer what i can..im no expert..more like a weekend warrior lol

This is my '72 Explorer with a mild 390/C6. I did a full hanger flip in the rear and nothing up front. I like the looks of it being level and may forgo the lowering arms and disc brake spindles that i bought and just get some 460 coils and cut out 1 coil, since I think a 3 inch drop in front would be to much.

Looks good but the front beams will will not make it to low it gives it slight rake I did the same lowering job and the disc brake conversion. Mine is the orange and white truck a couple of pages back. I just put too low profile of front tires. on it so it looks a little too raked.
