No they come with just normal struts. But ive found some coilovers for this front suspension. They're a little spendy but the biggest drop springs i can find are 1.5"[/quote]
While they look like struts they are not. Struts replace the upper control arm and are the upper pivot point for steering. The upper plate on struts have a bearing in them. The coilover shocks on the CV do not steer. They just sit there. If you look them up in a labor guide they are listed as shocks. If you go to buy them they are listed as shocks. They are just pretty big coilovers. You are not going to drop much more at all than 1 1/2" without having a situation of an unalignable front suspension not to mention the geometry will be all wrong. The lower control arm should be parallel with the deck when sitting on it's own weight. My truck is at that point. It may drop a little bit more with the 460 but not much. If I remember correctly JG F100's truck is at that point. He can't get enough adjustment to set the camber correctly. Or perhaps he is at the end of adjustment & just got it set. I am old I don't remember. He cut coils on his.
What color are those rear steelies??? perhaps grabber blue???

that's what i'm talking about tybob, is the first time i see your truck outside, very nice indeed. i put mine away already, too cold for the air suspension.
on a different topic, have you found trim for the crewcab yet? I know it's scarce i've been hunting for some myself for awhile.
No luck on finding a set from what I hear the trim has to be made.

Here's mine, it's a 1967 with Crown Vic swap and C notch in rear. The wheels just came and in and I had the tires mounted this past weekend. Note this picture was taken with wheels not yet mounted so it looks kind of ugly, but I'll be sure to post more when they're on the truck. The wheels are Raceline Statics 22x10 (Rear) & 22x8.5 (Front). I have nor the smarts, time or patience for a job like so a BIG SHOT OUT goes to my buddy (stockr) who has a few pics of his work on this thread pg.# 48.
