Re: Bumps At Work!
My 69 F250 back in 2002 when it still ran.
The story behind this picture is:
I went home to unload a load of used bricks and wasn't looking forward to doing it alone. I went inside to find my 14 year old step daughter sitting on the couch in her jammies eating ice cream and watching cartoons, instead of being at school. She looks up and says, "It's OK. Mom knows I'm home sick."
I said, "You ain't sick. Get dressed and help me unload these bricks."
This was one of the few times she didn't argue with me. We calculated that we unloaded 800 used bricks. (She ended up doing PE and math even though she didn't go to school, and she had fun doing it.)
Later, I heard her say to her Mom, "I knew I should have gone to school."

My 70 F250 towing our 73 Datsun 240z on October 16, 2011. This is the "test" tow which went well, as expected.

Re: Bumps At Work!
Well ... ok it's really not hard work. But the work truck has a 6' box with a tool box so my bump was a much better choice to transport leaves.

Re: Bumps At Work!
Well usually I do not like to delve into politics, but I have to throw this one in. Used my daily driver bump as a platform to help my sister inlaw win the town council person by me here in NY. Things are a disaster here in the way the government is run. An example in this poor economy it takes a person a year to bet a building permit, six months for a fence permit. We are scraping by for work and the jobs we do have you can not get a permit. Way to promote the local economy. Then I will not even go into the fact that the town taxes in the last 6 years has gone up by 40 percent. An example last month at my yard I run my business out of the taxes went up $2,000.00. WTHEY? Then we will not go into the fact on how they tried to pull a fast one where they fenced off a park and tried to sub divide it. To make matters worse they traced $38,000 in various donations from a developer in based in Texas. That is just the tip of the iceberg. So to the picture on hand, I think it was a real eye catcher and how could she lose.

Re: Bumps At Work!
My truck got to "work" at my wifes 40th birthday party. As the stage!
Put up an easy up. Ran some christmas lights. A few extension cords. and WALLA... instant stage!
The live act for my wifes birthday is a musician named Sean Shiel. Great guy, great show.
After his three hour set, my second oldest boy and his friends got up there and jammed for a while too!
Heres my bump..."Hard" at work

Re: Bumps At Work!
Today a ran down to the old house and got a load of firewood. It must have been pretty heavy, cuz the back actually squatted to where it was lower than the front and at 60 mph it felt like the front end was wandering all over the place. Last time it did that I had 2k lbs of sand in it.

Thanks! Me too. It's the first vehicle I've ever owned that I can't really see myself selling at some point. I just don't get bored with it.
