Cutting firewood in rain/snow mix back in March. I backed it as far into the woods as it would go and prayed that I would be able to get out!

Not a bad haul.

I went on a 200 mile round trip from San Antonio down to Dilley then over to Karnes county before coming back to San Antonio. She tends to get hot if I keep my foot in it. Like seventy ish miles per hour or so. I anyway after I got home I was taking the kids to school and could hear that tapping again like before I had the manifold gasket replaced. I wonder If it's loose or warped again. Anyway I moved some dirt around and these really long boards while out in Karnes county. Oh, I hauled a couple of barrels of water in it recently as well.

Here I am making a trip to the scrap yard. If you ever wondered how many air conditioners and a-coils you could break down and fit in a short bed bump, the answer is 7! There is about 1600 lbs of metal in there. These tires never cease to impress me; there was no buldge in the sidewalls AT ALL, and they've only got about 40 psi in them.

yeah thats just bold looking. I took my 9.00 16s off for the summer months..I cant justify burning them up on the asphalt in town......But ive thought about getting some ND tires cause you can still get them or a set of STA super lugs I really dig how they look with those tall skinnies....now if I could just get a crew cab hmmmm :hmm: lol

Heres my dwr 2wd 67 F350 flatbed after its first parts mission. I had already taken the 6 rims off the bed and the headache rack I am putting on it this winter. I am going to go fetch a bunch of paint cabinets from the guy I bought the truck from soon, so hopefully it'll see a nice load. I'll be sure to take pics.

I bought the truck primarily for hauling our snowmachines to the trailhead, and picking up parts and projects for our Fords and Chevys.

It rides real nice with a load on it, a lot less bouncy than when its empty (no shocks). Motor doesn't do too bad on gas, but its not made the for highway. It's geared real low and you are rippin' RPM's when you go 65, plus the truck starts to shake at that speed..... 45-55 is a real nice ride!

My 69 F250 back in 2002 when it still ran.

Image

The story behind this picture is:
I went home to unload a load of used bricks and wasn't looking forward to doing it alone. I went inside to find my 14 year old step daughter sitting on the couch in her jammies eating ice cream and watching cartoons, instead of being at school. She looks up and says, "It's OK. Mom knows I'm home sick."
I said, "You ain't sick. Get dressed and help me unload these bricks."
This was one of the few times she didn't argue with me. We calculated that we unloaded 800 used bricks. (She ended up doing PE and math even though she didn't go to school, and she had fun doing it.)
Later, I heard her say to her Mom, "I knew I should have gone to school."

My 70 F250 towing our 73 Datsun 240z on October 16, 2011. This is the "test" tow which went well, as expected.
(The blue fenders are from my 69 F250.)
