Bumpside Graveyard

Post by knucklejs »

Here's some pix from a recent trip to my buddy's personal salvage yard. I snapped bumpsides only, as there are probably a few thousand vehicles in total. And yes- I probably DO have all the missing parts!

Good evening KnuckleJS,

Now that's quite the personal salvage yard! I wonder how long it took him to build that up?

Of all the photos, I found this one the most striking by far--WOW!!! That has to be one of the most classic Bumpside photos of all time.

He does sell parts, but typically won't ship anything. What were you looking for?

Unfortunately I can guarantee you there are no good cores, or inners for the bumps, as I'd already have them. :) What's left are pretty well rusted out like typical. He's located in North central Iowa, about 1 1/2 hrs from me.

WOW! ... pretty cool. Around here all you'll find is a empty rusty carcus of a bump. Even at that the front clips are long long gone. :pout:

That's cool you have a buddy you can go to for pick@pull. We have one about 7 miles from here. 20 years ago you could go out and look around like you,but because of insurance reasons you can't any more. I know there are some bumps way out in the back 100 acres, you go in there now and ask for something and they say don't have that.
