Oh I likey ! Im glad you kept the white top. Alot of guys get rid of the tu-tone.

Please go with the bottom wheel. The "slotted" mags. You will be so glad you did. They look period correct & make these old trucks look tuff. The top wheel looks too modern & reminds me of a trailer wheel from Summit...

Good Job !!

Thanks guys. I can't wait to see it buffed out.

But i have some sad news.
Today i got home from school and stared at the '69 from my the window on the side of the house.
Now the sad thing is that seeing it from the window is only possible when the garage is no longer over the '69 :( :( :( :( :(

That's shelter #2 that a storm has destroyed

i know, it was crazy that we actually had rain for the first time today. and it was a big one too. well not too big. 30-40mph winds and lots of rain.
Last year we had 50mph winds. California does get some action sometimes :D

here is a picture of the madness after my brother and i moved all the parts (seat, electronics, etc.) into the house garage.
Image

It's a mega bummer because i have no money income right now and have slowly saved up $100.
But now it looks like i will be buying a new $300 tent. I will call them tomorrow and tell them how my whole roof ripped in half and if they can just sell me a new roof instead of me buying a whole new shelter.

However there is one upside to this. Now i don't have to tow it out the sideyard to see what the paint looks like in the sun, being that i now have a sunroof on my garage. It just needs to clear up

I don't htink anything got damaged besides parts like hte original radio.
But There were huge water pockets building on the sagging roof that would of brought down the structure once it got enough weight to do so. So i pushed those out and watched the huge waterfall over me.

I wish it was summer so i could tear the whole thing down, that would be nice! But i'd like to put hte truck back together soon.
Maybe i can throw all the windows in first, then be able to put the interior back together and it won't get wet. Exterior can get wet.

What i should do.... is build a legit wood garage.... with heater... fridge.....plasma lcd TV... you know, the basics.

We had SNOW today here :x I grew up in Southern California and I remember some freaky weather. Flash floods and santa ana wind storms mostly. I havent even felt an earthquake in 28 yrs now!!

Truck looks real good  That fuel door looks much better on your truck than in a box in my shop.

At least the truck was not down to bare metal when it happened. Great progress, sorry for the setback.

BigBlueF250,
Yeah it did come out pretty darn well!
Ive got the rubber housing and the filler neck mocked up, it should work out perfect. Thanks

FormerMarine,
Yeah, im so happy that the paint was put on Friday, because by this time the water won't do anything to the paint on the truck... being that you are supposed to wetsand the next day.

Looks better than my krylon red/whit paint job I did on my truck. Its kind of werid I really badly want a blue truck and just about everyone I know wants a red/white when they have blue already.
