help me :D

also, what is pictured above in my earlier post is a pair of 1958 352 EDC heads and a streetmaster 390 aluminum intake. They will be going on the 69's 390 once i get it hot-tanked and machined soon. And ill be getting a mild cam, new pistons/rods, head work, holley carb, etc.
Have you considered a nice set of American Racing Torque Thrust Ds? THey're period correct (the wheel of the old Shelby Mustangs in 65 and 66) adn look pretty bad ass.

I applaud your effort here. It reminds me of my work to "restore" my 1966 Mustang that I started when I was fourteen. Looks like you're doing it a lot better than me though, I ran out of money a year later and since then I haven't had time! Hopefully I'll resume work on the old Mustang withen the next year or so (after I pour a concrete pad for a work area). Also, just for the whole full disclosure thing... I'm thirty now!

But i need to get you guys better pictures of the whole thing. The interior, firewall, inside doors, fender jambs, door panels, and valances are all painted.
The body needs to be gone over again then it will be painted, can't wait!!

Alright guys, no more of this no-update nonsense. From now on i will be posint updates weekly again!
Ive only done one thing since the last update...

I painted the whole truck

I still need to wetsand/buff the whole thing and do some touch-up im sure. I actually ROLLED the paint on, with Brightside paint after spending probably 50 hours researchign roll on paintjobs. I also rushed the body work and it definately shows, so all in all the truck is finally painted, the paint itself will look good once i buff it out and the body work will do for now.
Eventually (like when i actually have a job and money again) i would really like to strip the whole extererior of the body and have it shot HVLP, with all new body work.

I have decided to rhino-line the bed, that will be in a while. I would love to have it nice and shiny painted, but in order to paint hte bed i would have to completely strip it all to metal since the old paint is all flaking off. Then again i might have to so that the rhino-liner doesnt peel... so i might paint it.. we will see.

Remember that there used to be a bed seam above the bump, and a vertical one behind it. also the rear lower bed corner used to be bashed in, 3 feet of hte bump on the passenger side used to be completely bashed in, i added the dentside fuel door assembly, and other stuff.

Thanks all. I'm soo excited to wake up early and start putting it all back together!
The problem is that i don't have carpet, so i can't put my sweet modern bench in, and i can't bolt anything to the inside of the firewall because i don't have a firewall pad :(
Oh well, i have plenty to do! i need to paint all the firewall stuff (brake booster, etc.), wire the chassis, wire everything else, assemble the doors. I can't wait to pull it out of the side yard into the yard to get some natural light on the paint, wash it all, and get some good pictures.
