yeah im slacking a bit on the project though. I did actually spend alot of time welding up the seams nicely and grinding them down, they are very flush right now. but thats actually about all ive done since the last update. But i plan on finishing the truck within a few months (it will be all together by august). so i have alot to do. I have been soooo busy every weekend.

Wish i could spend time on the weekends projecting out. even if i never got much done. thinking about a project i could build while the current one continues to rust out.

i like that fuel filler door idea, i may do somthing like that one day, your trucks are very motivatinal.

Im thinking about other projects too even though i already have two. I want to build a offroad long-travel golf cart.

help me :D

also, what is pictured above in my earlier post is a pair of 1958 352 EDC heads and a streetmaster 390 aluminum intake. They will be going on the 69's 390 once i get it hot-tanked and machined soon. And ill be getting a mild cam, new pistons/rods, head work, holley carb, etc.

Top is more modern, bottom more retro. Here's a pic of some slots on my 4x4 if you want to see what they look like on a bump.

add that to the bill for the machine shop :surprised: going to have to have them bored out, they are already bored 20 or 30 i forget. The 390 crank i bought for $50 is coated with surface rust as well :cry:

hey now surface rust with little or no pitting is an easy clean.

and bottom wheel here too bud.but either way it is your truck and it will rock.

Heres a joyful update.

I was carefully removing my PPUUURFECT windsheild from the 69 when i decided that it would look even better shattered. so that is what i did and now im out a few hundred dollars. oh joy fun.
